This report covers July 12,13,14. Both of us had Friday the 11th off.
Saturday Fly Girl had a family group and they caught trout, bluefish and flounder.
On Sunday Fly Girl had a father and son from California. They spent the trip in the ocean. Fly Girl found a big school of big reds. No other boats were around the school was happy and they caught a load on spin and several on fly. Schooling reds on top are extremely hard to catch on fly. They can be skittish and you can’t get close enough for a fly cast. Fly cast 70 to 90 feet can be needed. Great going guys.
Both boats fished on Monday. It was an absolutely beautiful day. Flat Out had a repeat client who wanted speckled trout. It took a ride to find them but find them they did. Fly Girl had a long longtime client and a couple of his grand children. They fished in the ocean and had an exciting trip catching hammerhead sharks
