Day 3 on the Finest Kind
Slick cam again today but overcast. The morning started not bad with a few fish raised. We had 3 pizzly bites and one good bite. We released the one from the good bite. By lunch time we had raised 8 sails. To liven things up we did have nice blue marlin free jumping right behind our spread. The rest of the fleet was outside of us seeing lots of picky fish.
After lunch folks were still seeing picky fish so Chris steamed inshore to check out a place we passed this am. Hopefully we would find a few hungry fish. Tony got a bite and release. Turned out to be a good move. Don released another sail. We were not seeing tons of fish but the ones we found would eat the fly.
We came across several big schools of spinner dolphin and yellow fin tuna busting. While circling this madness had a fish come in on the teaser. The fish crashed the fly and when it finally jumped it was a little striped marlin. Sadly the hook came out.
Headed back to the states tomorrow.
