The weather has finally is giving us a break. Fishing for trout and puppy drum has been very good. It has not been easy fishing–but hard work has really paid off. Fly Fishing has been very tough. These fish are scattered in shallow water and the only way we can fish for them is by drifting. We are working hard to crack the code.
We have caught some speckled trout of a life time this week. They were all released because they were full of eggs getting ready for the spawn. Flat Out asked his clients to release all specks over 25″–which is not a problem as they are very rare.
Fly anglers wading have been finding willing puppy drum.
