Had three good guys for PA today. They put up with a lot, slow fishing, down pours and swells. We started looking for fish about 6 miles off the beach and got run by a squall. We ended up trout fishing in a downpour and it was very good–lots of float grass. After the skies cleared we chased a report of albies in the ocean. We got lucky–found a pod of buffalos and Chris landed a solid fish of 21 pounds. Thats a big summer albie. We steamed 7 miles off the beach and found several pods of albies on micro bait. Finally found the right pod on bigger bait and caught three of four more on snacks. We missed several on fly and lost one at the boat side. Good day but hard work.
